Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For the last two years I have cycled from London to Amsterdam raising over £4500 for Prostate Cancer UK after a friend, Scott Vessey, sadly passed away due to the disease. I had known Scott for a long time and had been running a junior football team with him for a few seasons. He was such a fantastic character to be around, a great family man, and is sorely missed.
Scott, like myself was a big Wednesday fan , and again I will be riding representing Wednesday with other riders representing the Football League Clubs, including some ex-pro's. The organisers have split the event into 2 starts (Barnsley and London), and I will be joining at Barnsley, but because I have done the distance two years running, I am very aware that people may feel I need to earn my donation. I have therefore decided to add an extra stage of around 85 miles by starting at Liverpool, riding solo.
The challenge is therefore:
Day 1 Liverpool to Sheffield (approx 85 miles)
Day 2 Sheffield (via Barnsley) to Hull (approx 75 miles)
Day 3 Rotterdam to Amsterdam (approx 75 miles)
Total - approx 235miles
I would love to make it £6,000 in three years for this very worthwhile charity. Prostate Cancer is an awful disease that affects 1 in 8 men at some point in their lives. Please give generously and feel free to share this page with others.
