Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I decided to join the Prostate Cancer UK Football League Cycle Challenge after a friend, Scott Vessey, recently passed away. I had known Scott for many years and had been running a junior football team with him for the last few seasons. He was such a fantastic character to be around, a great family man, and will be sorely missed.
I had always fancied doing a long distance bike ride for charity, but found excuses not to, or never got round to it, but this made me determined to do it.
The ride was completed on 7th June 2014 but there is till time to donate. Although I've exceeded my original target, I'd love to make it to £2,000+.
The money raised will help the charity provide support for people with prostate cancer, and help them and others fight the illness now and in the future. The £1000 target would for example support a weeks worth of research into new treatments.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks, Chris.
