Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Being honest, I cannot quite remember why I thought this was sensible but that is now history and irrelevant. Besides, this is for a great cause, supporting the KPMG Reading Office Charity, Me2 Club, whom enable disadvantaged children to take part in mainstream life.
In a few days time, on 5 September, some far stronger and younger colleagues and myself will be trying to complete a 7km mud "run", surmounting many dozens of obstacles. It's called The Nuts Challenge. For sure it isn't going to be pretty, and the main aim will be trying to not bother the local medical practitioners.
Training has been problematic. Aside from the usual creaking knees and an ingrowing toenail, a worn-out sacroiliac joint has basically stopped any meaningful exercise through 2021 until the last few weeks. Sympathy vote anyone? This is going to hurt. A lot. There may be tears. Certainly, some whimpering.
We all need your help to get us all through this [entirely voluntary] pain-fest so please do donate something to this very worthy cause.
