Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am doing my first ever Great North Run in memory of my Grandma, Mary, who passed away in March 2004 after suffering a series of strokes. I was very close to my Grandma whilst growing up and I feel she helped make me the person I am today. I also found it extremely difficult watching her health deteriorate as a result of the strokes.

Although I've always tried to be fairly active, this will be the first time I've ever done a half-marathon before, or any sort of run for that matter. I am committing myself to the challenge and hope you can help me to raise money for what is a very worthy cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
