Story

After losing My Grandma to Dementia, my Grandad was also diagnosed and has since passed away with Alzheimer's a few years later.  I owe an awful lot to all of my Grandparents and I was lucky enough to have some tremendous memories that all of my Grandparents worked hard to give me!

After getting my marathon place in Sept 2019 and my initial target of just simply finishing the marathon, I have now had 23 months of training and after losing over 4 stone.  A hell of a lot of new clothes later, there’s actually a chance I may do this in under 4 hours!!!!

A massive thank you to everyone who has helped me along my way so far, I have raised a lot of money already and I am now setting myself some much bigger goals in a bid to help even more people suffering with Alzheimer's and also the families that are so massively affected by all the added struggles and strains that Dementia brings.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
