Story
HERE WE GO!
Two old men in the midst of a mid life crisis decide (after a couple of beers obviously) to cycle the best part of 1500km to Cannes to:
a) raise money for Coram, a wonderful children's charity
b) prove to themselves and a bunch of other people (who don't actually care) that they're not too old for this nonsense
Recently these two fair-weather cyclists dusted off their bikes (or more accurately bought new ones) and started putting in the miles to go from couch potatoes to elite athletes!
Thousands of kilometres, several kilograms, weekly meetings in the dark on Kingston Bridge and one crash (touch wood) later - photos available for a fee - they stand on the verge of greatness(?)
Engineers by day, lycra clad ****s by ..... well also day but mainly weekends, Seb and Chris are taking on the 'Cycle to MIPIM' challenge. Leaving London at 9am on 5th March, 6 days later they will roll into Cannes ...... exactly 6 days older with terrible beards and smelling like a Sunday footballer's kit bag at the end of a long season.
All money raised will be donated to Coram. Coram, the UK's oldest children's charity, champions the rights and welfare of children and believes every child should have the best chance of a fulfilling life. Coram helps hundreds of thousands of vulnerable young children and young people every single year by developing skills, building emotional strength, upholding children's rights and finding adoptive parents for those in greatest need. It's a really good cause!
Thanks in advance for giving so generously (and reading this far) - we guarantee there will be a lot of pain for your money!
Seb and Chris
