River Row 2018 · 22 September 2018 to 23 September 2018 ·
Over the weekend of 22-23 September, Alexander and Chris will be rowing with the Hampton School and Lady Eleanor Holles rowing squads and parent crews down the Thames, from Radley near Oxford to our Millennium Boathouse in Hampton.
This is a significant undertaking and a real challenge: 120+ rowers, more than 20 boats, covering 80 miles and going through 28 locks, all in only 2 long days.
Alexander will be rowing the whole 80 miles over 2 days and Chris will row 40 miles on the first day - a huge challenge for both of them!
We’re all committed to this challenge to raise money for our local charity Shooting Star Chase, which provides invaluable hospice care for babies and children with life-limiting conditions. Our aim is to raise enough to pay for a Hospice Care Nurse for an entire year - see our team target on the right.
Your donations, no matter how small (or large!), will make a massive difference to the lives of the children these amazing hospice nurses care for at Shooting Star.
In 2015 your generosity helped us raise over £50,000 for Shooting Star Chase, so please help us make this year's row really count too!
