At the end of September myself and a group of others are cycling from Edinburgh to Newcastle, to raise funds for local (Newcastle) charity Recyke Y'Bike.
Recyke Y'Bike save hundreds of bikes from landfill each year - people donate their old bikes then the Recyke team refurbish them back to a fully working and safe condition.
The bikes are then either sold in their shop to members of the public, or given away for free to people whose lives greatly benefit from a free cycle - be
it a refugee, asylum seeker, someone with health issues or someone on low income to help them get around without having to pay for travel costs such as busses etc.
Recyke also provide free bike repair sessions for local young people to ensure their bikes are safe to use and keep them active.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
