Well, here we are! After 12 years of applying I finally have a place in the London Marathon, and with it the chance to complete my first (and quite possibly last!) marathon. I'm so excited to finally join the thousands of inspirational people taking part, and privileged that I can do so whilst raising money for such an incredible charity.

Oxfam save lives in disasters. They get clean water running, help people earn a living, grow food and send children to school. Oxfam stand up for the rights of women everywhere. And they speak out against injustices that keep people poor.

My Mum, Rachel Wilshaw, is one of Oxfam's longest serving employees, having worked to improve labour rights in developing countries for over 36 years, and so I've grown up seeing the incredible work carried out by Oxfam to make the world a fairer, better place.

Please help me smash my target! Your donations will be a 'virtual' cheer for me and a life saver for Oxfam.
