Story
For 2022 I will be taking on a number of endurance challenges, to push myself beyond my limits, to raise money for this great cause.
Starting in May, with the Chester 100 mile ultra-marathon,, deferred due to covid and house moves, this will be a the longest I’ve pushed my body in one sitting, followed by the Ultra X 50K Summer Trail Series in Hebden Bridge.
September and October things get interesting, finishing with the Pontefract Half Marathon with Dhyllan’s first local event. But while I should be tapering in the 2 weeks leading up to this, I will instead be taking on the Isles Ultra, a 6 day multi-stage event of 185 miles of the chain of the Outer Hebrides, covering over 200 miles in a 10 day period.
Then on 16th October, Rich Lord will be making his marathon comeback after a 3 year absence at the Yorkshire Marathon to help with this fundraising activity.
It’s gonna be tough, both physically and mentally, but nowhere near as tough as the battles that many children face in fighting cancer, so please help battle cancer in our younger generation.
At Children with Cancer UK we actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. Our vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell.
