The neonatal unit at Blackpool has been a massive part in our family’s life and would love to raise some money for them  to help other family’s like it did ours. 

I’m going to swim 5k which is 200 lengths of the swimming pool in the Lake District on the 9th of June in under 2 hours to raise money for the neonatal unit at Blackpool Victoria.

They first helped us with Gracie-may who was 5 weeks early weighing 4.12 pound she was in the neonatal unit for 3 weeks and the team did such a amazing job getting her fit and strong enough to come home she is 5 now and is perfect.

The second time the neonatal helped us was with baby boy wensley who we sadly lost at 22 weeks but the team at Blackpool made everything as nice as it could of been in that horrible situation making Lizzie as comfortable as possible and the after care really helped us both.

Lastly Harry decided to come at 25 weeks weighing  just only 1.7 pound we started off at Blackpool then he was born in Preston then back to Blackpool then Manchester then back to Blackpool the hard work, time and effort to every single person at the time who was there were just amazing we’re so lucky to have harry and it wouldn’t be without the amazing job everyone did to get him through them 99 days he was in. all the nurses and doctors were amazing and I just want to give something back to help some other family’s who will need the help in the future it really is amazing what they can do in that place .
