The Coronavirus Pandemic has affected many charities, both nationally and globally.  Animal chairites in particular have been hit hard, as by their very nature they are unable to close (the goats still need feeding and care every day!)  Unfortunately Buttercups Sanctuary's finances have been really effected by the need to be closed to visitors (80% reduction in income).  The Sanctuary are asking all animal lovers to come to the rescue, with extra financial support to help them through this difficult time and for that reason I will be completing the Virtual London Marathon on Sunday 3rd October 2021 and running 26.2 miles to raise money and support them.

The sanctuary is set in ancient parkland and provides animals that have suffered so much with a safe and loving home for the rest of their lives. As well as open fields to roam in, all of the animals at Buttercups have warm and dry undercover accommodation at night.

At Buttercups, goats that have been mistreated and abused, starved and abandoned, are taken into care, giving them an environment of love and kindness. Here their 'hurts' can be treated and their experience of cruelty is replaced with understanding and trust.
