Story
Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page.
This year is a milestone one for me and I wanted to celebrate it in various ways. One of them is to undertake a physically demanding challenge and I chose to climb Mount Kinabalu. At over 4000 metres, I have no doubt it will be painful but rewarding in many ways.
I am delighted to be joined by three friends who will add to the enjoyment. Already our training sessions have been full of banter which helps enormously when the muscles start to ache.
In undertaking this challenge, I also want to seek your support to raise funds for others who face far greater challenges every day.
I will be supporting the Standard Chartered Foundation which focuses on tackling inequality by promoting greater economic inclusion for disadvantaged young people from low-income households, particularly girls and people with visual impairments, providing opportunities to make a better future for themselves and their families.
The Foundation funds programmes in the areas of education, employability, entrepreneurship and eye health and are the lead partner in delivering the Futuremakers by Standard Chartered initiative.
I am grateful for whatever support you are able to give.
