Story
I am running the marathon to raise money for CHUMS- a local charity that supports families and young people through bereavement and trauma, as well as supporting their emotional well being. The work they do is fantastic; http://vimeo.com/42756917
The school I work at has gone through bereavement recently. Last June one of our students, Megan Peat, died in tragic circumstances. It was a loss very difficult to come to terms with & Megan is very sadly missed. CHUMS helped the school, its staff and students, deal with this tragedy. They have helped us so much over the last few years that when I got my place in the 2013 London Marathon I could think of no more a deserving cause than theirs.
I will be running on marathon day in memory of students who have lost their lives- I will run with Megan's name on the back of my shirt & hope we can make everyone proud of our efforts in raising money for CHUMS.
