Can you help CARESCO please? We need to replace our bus. If so, donate what you can, it really would help us. Our target is £15,000, Is this something we could reach? To help us on the road again, so our members we can meet.

Story

Since we purchased our first minibus in 2019, we have learnt that it has multiple uses. Not only do we use it everyday to transport our service users into our Day Care club, we have also used it to deliver meals on Christmas Day to the elderly in our community. By doing this we ensured that a hot meal was delivered to people who may have been on their own. Also, we have used our minibus to take our members on day trips and to take them shopping. More recently we have used it to collect donations from companies who have helped with food to our foodbank. Our bus is now 15 years old and we are in need of updating it. Like everything time takes its toll and after many repairs and failed MOT's the need for a new minibus is greater than ever. This will enable us to continue to do the good work we do for CARESCO and our ever growing community. Any help towards our goal would be greatly appreciated. In order for the "Wheels On Our Bus" to go round and round we really need your help please.

CARESCO is a unique charity based in the village of Sawtry, near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, which exists to serve the local community. Under the CARESCO umbrella are a number of services offered to our local community, including our Green End Day Club and Thursday Club, our Man Cave, our Friday drop-in cafe, our carers support group, a music-based social group, a Christmas Day party and our charity shop which helps to fund our activities. In partnership with other organisations we also host the local foodbank (working with the local churches) and the village car scheme (working with Cambs County Council). CARESCO also edits and publishes the popular Sawtry Eye magazine. Most of our services are run from our own purpose-built CARESCO Centre in the heart of the village.
