Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for my Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland 'Step up to the Plate' Challenge!

Having just moved to Penrith, and visited Ullswater a few times, I want to test my ability to walk the 20 miles around it whilst benefitting a local charity at the same time.

Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland provide Nursing Care, Occupational Therapy, Complementary Therapy, Lymphoedema, Physiotherapy, a Befriending Service and Family Support. Services are flexible and care for each patient is planned individually to improve their quality of life. All care is provided free of charge to the patient and their families. Over 7,100 local people have been cared for since 1997.

I know the value of hospice work as my Dad was cared for in a Dorset hospice for the last week of his life. Thank you for helping me to raise funds to support this hospice charity..
