Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my justgiving page.
For over 15 years I have been a keen player of a video game dance machine known as ‘Dance Dance Revolution’. Last year I set myself a very strict new years resolution. I worked hard on losing a lot of weight by using Nintendo’s Wii Fit game. Now, with my newly found confidence and energy in 2010, I’ve taken it to the next level and decided to try and break a world record by the end of this year!!
So, on Saturday 23rd October I will be attempting to break a Guinness World Record in the London Trocadero. I have been in long conversation with Konami, the developers of the dance machine games and Guinness World Records themselves and they have organised the above venue and agreed to even provide free GWW judging! I will be attempting to break the record of ‘The longest time spent playing Dance Dance Revolution’. An individual in the US who danced for 13 hours and 9 minutes holds the current record. I will start on the beginner difficulty and every 5 hours the difficulty will increase. Every hour I will earn a 5 minute break which I can ‘bank’ if I wish. If my ‘life bar’ falls to zero the challenge is OVER!Cancer affects as all and has had a huge impact on the lives of my friends and family in recent years. This year alone I have lost my wonderful father-in-law and fantastic Grandad; two lovely gentlemen who are greatly missed by the whole family!
So please dig deep and support this very worthy cause!
Many thanks for your support!
