Chris McCourt and Eamonn Leavey of the North East Chamber of Commerce are taking part in the Newcastle CEO sleepout on 17 October 2013.

CEO Sleepout is a regional event of national business significance. North East business leaders give up a night of comfort - sleeping rough regardless of the weather. This action will raise awareness of homelessness issues and generate vital funds to support Tyneside's most needy.

The money will fund a range of projects to help homelessness and related issues including NUFC Foundation's community work, Tyneside Cyrenians and the establishment of Newcastle Homeless FC.  Some funds will also be used to complete the documentary on homelessness which Tyneside film-maker Lee Halpin was making before he sadly died.
