Story
Chris and Garry (May Brothers) will be running the London Marathon for the incredible people at the Rooprai Spinal Trust.
Covid put a stop to the original date in April 2020 for team “Chafing The Dream” which was Chris, Tom and Willis. However 3 years on Tom and Willis kindly declined so Chris and his brother Garry form a new team “May Brothers on the run” taking part in the marathon, and are currently clocking the miles in preperation for the big day..
Now fear not, all the people who kindly donated to us back in 2020 will be getting your money's worth out of us on Sunday 23rd April. The original fundraising page was closed by Virgin Money so all donations have been transferred to this JustGiving page and this is reflected via the 'offline donation' made. So, all of those amazing people that donated first time, thank you so much, and all you people that didn't, well now's the time!
Now about Rooprai Spinal Trust
The Rooprai Spinal Trust (RST or RS Trust) was established in 2005. The co-founder Marianne Rooprai, was herself left paralysed from the shoulders down at the age of 28 after a car accident. After the accident, Marianne and her partner Andy decided to set up a trust to support others who have been affected by the devastation that spinal injury brings. They work tirelessly supporting people both physically and mentally. They are a completely voluntary run organisation.
Please dig deep and donate anything you can. Remember the RST are 100% voluntary, so your support will really help them make a difference.
