WE’RE BACK AGAIN!

After a record breaking year for us last year in terms of fundraising, it’s that time of year again for us to bring some festive cheer to the great people of Falmouth whilst also raising much needed funds for the most fantastic cause.

This story started out nearly 15 years ago with my late father wanting to “out-do” our neighbours by putting a few lights outside our house. I continued this in his memory after his passing as a tribute to him but then realised I could raise some money at the same time.

Upon moving to Cornwall, my now in-laws asked whether I’d be happy to display the lights at their house which we did in 2017 - following the reaction we received then we have grown the display year on year to a point where we now have over 50 lights of various nature’s on display!

To be honest, just the reaction we get would be enough to keep us doing it every year but given the amount we have been able to raise for charity over the years, we feel compelled to continue.

Fortunately my wife and I both work for HSBC who will match the money we raise (up to a maximum of £1000) so every £1 you give will result in £2 going to CHSW. We believe that as a result of this we have been able to raise over £7000 for CHSW since we started here in 2017 which is incredible. 

I know that this year it may be different given the economic climate we are in and times are tough for a lot of people but whatever you can donate will be very much appreciated so please dig as deep as you can - it’s for a wonderful cause!
