Orwell Challenge · 23 June 2019
At the age of 25 I started suffering from Atrial Fibrillation. 23 years and 7 ablation operations later, on 27 June I will be in Papworth for my 8th ablation.
The doctors, nurses and everybody else at the Royal Papworth have been amazing over the years, and despite some challenging times they have allowed me to live my life relatively symptom free.
To support their constant progress in technology, which I have both witnessed, been part of and received the benefit of, I want to do a bit to raise some money for the British Heart Foundation.
On Sunday 23 June I will be walking the Orwell Challenge, a 25 mile walk from Ipswich to Trimley and back again, organised by my Rotary club (Ipswich East). This challenge will be made more difficult because I am in constant Atrial Flutter, which is what my next ablation procedure will (hopefully) correct.
I would be extremely grateful if you could give a few £££s to this very worthy cause and give me something to keep me going when the blisters start to really rub!!
