Story
Myself and Chris will be completing the Manchester Marathon together on 16th April. I will be tackling the first half and Chris will bring us home in the second half. We’ll be doing this to hopefully raise money for the amazing charity - Prevent Breast Cancer.
You may or may not know but one of our best pals, the most incredible Roisin Lawlor, was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 years ago - luckily she is ok but since her diagnosis Roisin and Chris (her very supportive hubby) have not stopped flying the flag for PBC, striving to continually raise awareness through consistent social media posts, talks at hospitals, a charity ball as well as run after run from local runs to the London and Barcelona marathons! These two are unstoppable and we wanted to show our appreciation and how proud we are of you both by trying to help a little along the way!
Before the London marathon Roisin posted a video on her reason why she continues to support Prevent Breast Cancer and whilst always in awe of her, this video hit a cord like no other. She said that the reason for doing what she does is for her nieces and her friend’s daughters, so they never have to experience breast cancer in their lifetimes - this sums her up, always thinking of others. Thank you!
Having two daughters of our own - we couldn’t agree more. If we can do anything to reduce the risk of breast cancer then we’d run to the end of the earth.
So please if you can, we would really appreciate any donations to this incredible charity - in honour of our friend, our families who have experienced cancer or scares, and our beautiful daughters.
Much love,
Jen and Chris
