Story
I have been ignoring this impending challenge for too long because frankly, I am a bit scared of it. But despite my best efforts I have not picked up any injuries or debilatating diseases that would prevent me from taking part - and so on Friday 22nd March (yes this Friday), I will line up to start the first of 3 marathons in 3 days along the Jurassic Coast coastal path.
I am doing it for CoppaFeel because a good friend of mine developed breast cancer last year at just 29, and through it all she has been tough, brave and reguarly inspirational. If I ever had to face something like that I could only hope to be a fraction as amazing as she has been. You can read her story by following the link below. And you should.
Training has been sporadic at best so I can't promise to run the whole thing, I just want to get through it really. 78.6 miles is a long way.
I also just worked out that with a daily elevation gain of over 4000ft it also means I will be climbing the equivalent of Ben Nevis. Every day. Shouldn't have done that sum.
So please be generous and if you are along the coast this weekend look out for someone dragging themselves along the route.
