I will be taking part in my first Marathon in Berlin on the 16th September 2018 in memory of my much loved Dad - Greg Hopkins.

It's 4 years this month since I sadly lost my Dad to Mesothelioma, which is a rare and at present, an incurable cancer caused by exposure to asbestos.

Despite all the advances in knowledge and technology, cancer is still a scourge on society and unfortunately everyone has been affected by it one way or another - either directly, through a loved one or friend.

My Dad's passion in life was running, he was an extremely fit man having completed 77 marathons and I can think of no better way to raise money in his memory than doing the thing he loved most.

I am running for Mesothelioma UK Charitable Trust which is a charity dedicated to providing specialist mesothelioma information, support and education, and to improving care and treatment for all UK mesothelioma patients and their carers.  The charity integrates into NHS front line services to ensure specialist mesothelioma nursing is available at the point of need. 

Having seen the suffering to a loved one that this disease can cause, I would be extremely grateful if you could kindly donate even a small amount towards this charity as every little helps to combat this disease.
