Story
I have been persuaded to undertake a charity bike ride of what for me will be epic
proportions – pedalling from Land's End to John O'Groats in 9 days at the end
of May, averaging over 100 miles a day.
I am doing the ride with my twin 17 year old sons Tom and George, and
a friend, Bob Macnaughton. We are riding to raise money for two fantastic
charities which help the homeless, an increasing curse of today's
world.
The first is the Single Homeless Project, the Travers Smith charity of this year, which is a London-wide charity working to prevent homelessness and help vulnerable and socially excluded people to transform their lives. The second is based in Worcester, where my sons go to school, and is the MAGGS Day Centre doing much the same work in that city.
