Story
Each year I attend the Joseph Foote Ball with friends and enjoy a lovely evening. Each year I make a small donation to the Brain Tumour Charity and each year I leave the ball with mixed emotions knowing I should do more. Each year I get busy and before I know it the ball has come around again. So this year it was time to do something different - it's time for me to make more effort - to do something that will raise money for this brilliant charity and, in a small way, hopefully contribute to beating this hideous disease.
For those of you who know me it is no secret that I like the odd glass of wine, or a beer or two and rarely a week goes by without me trotting outside with a few bottles for the recycling bin. In fact, thinking about it, I don’t think I’ve gone without a drink for more than four days since my 18th birthday so I guess it may surprise a few of you to hear that I am going to have a 'dry November' for my fund raising challenge - yes, all 30 days of it........and a challenge it will be! But there would be little point in doing anything too easy - you might not give enough money!
So, my friends, please dig deep - it's time for me to make some money for The Brain Tumour Charity and I'm hoping you will raise a glass and help me!
