Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I had a stroke. At one point in the hospital emergency room, I couldn't move or feel my right arm or leg. When I went to make a witty remark to the doctor, I discovered my voice didn't work. I was lucky, when I went home from hospital after eight days, I could talk, walk (although not quite in a straight line) and no longer had double vision. Within a couple of months I could run. Eventually I had to give up work, but was lucky to be able to retire.
A lot of people aren't that lucky. They have to confront the reality that I could only imagine lying on the hospital trolley in the emergency room.
The Stroke Association provides help and assistance to enable them to come to terms with their outcome.
Please donate a few shillings to help me reach my target of £450.
