Firstly thank you so much for visiting my sponsorship page. On the 26th May I will attempt my first marathon raising money for the Cots for Tots Appeal.

The Cots for Tots Appeal is part of the Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal fundraising family. It's the South West region’s only Special Care Baby Unit, at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol, and Cots for Tots House, a dedicated 12-bedroom family accommodation facility for parents of sick and premature babies. 

The Special Care Baby Unit at St Michael’s Hospital is a very special place. The unit cares for babies born as early as 23 weeks and those requiring life-saving surgery. The Unit treats around 750 babies every year from all over the South West and South Wales. There is unprecedented demand for the specialist care provided by the unit and the life saving cots and equipment needed.

The appeal is currently raising money for a new state-of-the-art Newborn Emergency Stabilisation and Transfer (NEST) incubator with ground-breaking new life-saving equipment.
