Yet access to swimming in the UK is not.Level Water use the power of swimming to improve lives for children with disabilities. Everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim and fall in love with the water.
.... Is the marketing spin given to a tortuous, attempt at not drowning for a stupidly long time. 24 hours! Which is almost a full earth day, both the light bit (day) and the dark bit(night).
The organisers looked at finding the warmest, safest and inviting piece of water, so that they knew exactly what to avoid.
This 'scenic' stretch of murky pond, invites you to travel through time, with a nostalgic array of shopping trolleys, bicycles and scaffold poles from the 70s, right through to the present day.
Having had many baths that lasted over 45minutes, I somehow gave other people the impression that I would be a suitable team member for this reckless and dangerous aquatic event.
However it's a great cause, heartwarming to see the effort and impact the level water team provide.
