Story
RABI is a grant-making charity which helps farming people of all ages if they are in financial difficulty. Support is confidential and includes one-off or regular payments, funding for things like essential household items, disability equipment, relief farm staff, home-help and care cost. It also provides a 24 hour freephone counselling service.
This support doesn't come cheap and, having seen the tremendous work the charity does to support so many (and wanting to expand its reach by 4 times across the community) I want to try and do my bit to help.
Your donation will make a real difference to farming people and your generosity really means a lot.
Agriculture is one of our most important industries: farmers deliver an essential service, producing food for the nation and beyond. However, farmers can face unexpected challenges, even after retiring. RABI’s aim is that no member of the farming community should face adversity alone.
RABI's grants and specialist advice can stop many from falling into cycles of debt, causing future practical problems and a toll on mental health. RABI’s Support Team provide invaluable advice and are a friendly face and listening ear when things are tough. Our intervention can help a farming family live a fulfilled and rewarding life knowing that RABI are there if the unexpected happens.
It won't be easy; training is going to have to be mixed with raising 4 children under 8, alongside the usual stresses of work and life!
