For my sins, I am taking part in my second Virtual London Marathon across Gillingham, Rainham and Hartlip. 

Given the current cost of living crisis, Gillingham Street Angels are a crucial lifeline to so many people and families across Medway. I have seen first hand the wonderful work they do and, heartbreakingly, how many people are lined up outside their foodbank every Saturday. Their mission is simple - "helping the homeless, members of our community, and vulnerable people of all ages in the Medway towns and surrounding areas" - but their support and care is anything but. They are, quite simply and as the name suggests, angels in our community. But even angels need help from time to time.

Every penny of sponsorship acts as a massive incentive to me and I am incredibly grateful for any support. If I can make a small difference to help them carry on providing support it will be worth the (relative) pain of grinding out the 26.2 miles.
