Story
So in late 2022 an advert came up for this event. I already knew that in 2023 I wanted to challenge myself to a tougher challenge and whilst I would love to run/jog a long-distance event I know walking is now my limitations.
As such I thought this 100km continuous hike would present the challenge I was looking for so I immediately signed up with little thought as to what I will be putting myself through!
I have raised money previously for National Charities but this time I wanted to support something a little closer to home so we have picked East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH). They provide amazing support to families and care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.
Along with Darren Rodgers, we will be aiming to complete the 100km walk within 26-28 hours and we'll have live GPS tracking on the day of the event so you can keep an eye on our progress.
We appreciate that times are tough at the moment, but we would be so grateful for ANY dontation you can afford as this will make a difference and will keep us motivated as to why we are doing it when we will have sore, blistered aching feet at 3am in the morning!
Well done for getting through my waffling and a massive thank you for your donation.
