Bristol to Glasgow for COP26 · 25 October 2021

We are a Community Sponsorship group who initially started out as two groups from Marwood and Goodleigh. We have since expanded and are working together to re-settle a Syrian Family in Barnstaple in the early part of 2022.

Story

Leaving from Bristol on 25th October in order to get to Glasgow for the first few days of COP26 on 1st November. 370 miles direct, but likely to be much more and will be recorded on Strava.

Leaving with friends and family on the 25th Bristol to Malvern, up to Wilmslow to meet with Archie Barraclough, Ian Whitaker and Tim Worboys and across The Lake District to Carlisle. From there to Moffat and then Glasgow.

The Latest IPCC report confirms that we are Code Red as far as the Climate and Ecological Crisis is concerned, so any pressure we can put on Politicians from around the world has to help.

About the charity

We are a charity working to promote and provide community led welcome for displaced people. Our aim is to provide the type of friendship and practical support that anyone would hope to have if they were forced, under such circumstances, to start over in a new and unfamiliar place.
