Event: The Mote 163 Challenge, from 3 July 2020 to 5 July 2020
The Mote Cricket Club has adult and junior sections which are fast out growing both the size and standard of our current nets which are in a great need of an update. We would like to raise £40,000 in order to vastly improve our facilities.

Story

Having played at The Mote Cricket Club since I was 15 (a long time ago!) I have always loved giving something back to a club that has done so much for me and shaped a lot of who I am today. I am on the committee and the current Grounds Chairman but that is not enough.........The club currently has just two artificial nets,  however, after a fantastic surge in membership in recent years, we now have over 150 colts as well as more than enough adult playing members to run five sides each Saturday as well as teams on Sundays and midweek. As part of our Vision for The Mote CC in 2025 we aim to have 'superb training facilities' to go alongside our already excellent playing surfaces. The first step is to raise funds so that we can install state of the art modern net facilities for colts and adults alike as soon as we possibly can and hopefully my two young boys will be able to make the most of them soon! If you're wondering why 16.3, the club is 163 years old.
