checked in at the outlaw it all happens tomorrow, hoping to raise money for the national autistic society.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year I completed a sprint triathlon for the National Autistic Society. This involved a 400metre swim a 20km bike ride and a 5km run. I completed this in May. I had never run 1km before this never mind 5km! I raised over £300 on my just giving page in addition to other donations. I really enjoyed the triathlon and as well as a great sense of achievment, personally, I knew that raising money was more important than my own achievement. I really got the tri bug though and did a further 2 triathlons as well as a couple of 10km runs.
I wanted to push myself and see if I could raise more money for this good cause this year. So without much thought for how many hours I would end up training, entered the Nottingham Outlaw. This involves 2.5 mile swim, 116mile bike ride and a 26 mile run. I am training for between 12- 17 hours per week at the moment, feeling fitter than ever and ready to take on the challenge. Please support me in this by donating as much or little as you can for the National Autistic Society. As a family they have helped us in the past with our youngest son who has Aspergers. Without this help us and many other families may not have been put into contact with other support groups, schools or social events and for this we are very grateful.
Thanks
Chris
