Hi! My name is Ursula, and I'm a third-year resident at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. It goes without saying that it is unbelievably hard to have your child in the hospital, and I have seen first-hand the emotional burden that our families experience. Beyond that, a lot of our families face financial challenges from missing work, paying for housing in Pittsburgh, finding childcare for their other children, among many others. Pennies from Heaven was founded by a family who wanted to mitigate some of that financial burden, and it means the world to me to fundraise for this awesome org each November.
