Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

What rhymes with orange.
...No it doesn't.

Now we have your attention, here at the Utilita Hub in Shirley we want to be record breakers!

Nadiah Ramsey part of our team is going to attempt a World record in eating a chocolate orange!

The fastest time to eat a Chocolate Orange is 57.14 seconds and was achieved by Leah Shutkever (UK) in Redditch, Worcestershire, UK on 21 October 2020.

Nadiah feels she can smash this record, but we want to make it a little more interesting so we are looking to raise money for the SCRATCH. So when you donate please add your email and your prediction of time on how fast your think Nadiah will devour this chocolate orange...

A donation of £2 or more for a time slot would be amazing... with this donation going to SCRATCH directly.

Do not worry you will not miss out on this as we aim to do a live stream of the World Record attempt with everyone who donates getting an invite!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

SCRATCH redistributes donated furniture and household items to those in need. In our last full year, ending March 2019 we carried out 1065 deliveries, benefitting 1325 adults and 1003 children. Many of the people we help have experienced homelessness and when allocated a property don’t have the furniture needed to turn an empty shell into a home. Here are a few quotes from people we have recently helped: - “I am amazed at how much furniture I have been given, I am very happy with the service - I had nothing and now I have a lot.” “SCRATCH team, I just want to say how impressed I am with your organisation – I was with a family when furniture was being delivered. Your delivery man was so kind and helpful. Also, the amount and condition of the items given was impressive. The bedding items were so lovely, the children just loved their beds.” “I am so thrilled, everything will fit so well. Can’t believe I now own all this stuff after moving in with nothing”. “I remember how joyed up and buoyed up I was the day SCRATCH delivered my furniture after three months without any. SCRATCH does a fine job in making (people) like me feel like we too might possibly belong to society somehow”.
