I have the best dad in the whole world!! He is always there for me, is the funniest person ever, and loves me with his whole heart. I wish so much that I could see him every day to give him a hug and just to talk to him. I’m hoping that by walking 200km in the winter months that I will be able to raise money into the research of ME.

ME has meant that I can only see my amazing, loving dad for a few hours a week and can’t run around, roll down hills or go on walks with him. It has had a massive impact on his life, and I want more than anything for him to get better.  

My brilliant dad is so brave for fighting this cruel illness, and he deserves so much to get better so we can do all the things we missed out on. 

Because of COVID-19 I have been spending even less time with him and can’t even give my amazing dad a hug! I haven’t hugged him since April 2020, but want to more than anything! 

Walking 200km in the winter months will be a challenge because it’s freezing and it’s lockdown, but I am doing this walk to raise money for those who can’t. I’m walking on my own in winter months in hope that I will be able to go on walks with my incredible, brave dad.

I really hope that you can sponsor me to help research into ME for my dad and all the other amazing people out there battling this illness.

Invest in ME Research is an independent UK charity finding, funding and facilitating a strategy of biomedical research into Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME or ME/CFS).The charity is run by volunteers - patients or parents of children with ME - with no paid staff.Overheads are kept to a minimum and all funds raised to go to promoting education of, and funding for biomedical research into, ME.Our efforts are focused on setting up a UK Centre of Excellence for ME which will provide proper examinations, diagnosis and in time treatment(s)/cure(s).
