Climb for Chloe · 26 March 2022

Purple Day is the International Day of Epilepsy Awareness on Saturday 26th March 2022. Together we can make it the biggest yet!

Story

Hi, a group of us are going to tackle the Yorkshire 3 Peaks on Sat 26th March 2022, to raise money for Young Epilepsy.

This is done in memory of our beloved daughter and sister,  Chloe Leanne Sowden who we lost unexpectedly at the age of 25 on 16th October 2020. Chloe was autistic and epileptic, having her first seizure at the age of 3, in which she stopped breathing and had to be resuscitated. This was the start of a life long battle with epilepsy for Chloe.

The people taking part are Paul Sowden, Dani Sowden, Dom Cox, Michelle White, Kev Brown, Becky Liley, Marjorie Dransfield and Phil Dransfield.

Yvonne Sowden will be on the side lines cheering us on with Buster & Binky. Along with Alan Dransfield for car support. We have already completed a couple of training walks, with another planned for Sunday 16th Jan, going up Whernside for a bit of winter fun.

Young Epilepsy is dedicated to standing up for children and young people with epilepsy. We’re here for them. But we need your support because epilepsy is limiting the chances of thousands of children today and may continue to do so for the rest of their lives. Together we create possible.
