Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Epilepsy affects around 1 in 100 people in the UK and nearly 55,000 people in Scotland are diagnosed with epilepsy, making it the most common serious neurological condition. Epilepsy Scotland provides invaluable support to people like myself, living with epilepsy and their families, friends and carers through running support groups, confidential helplines and campaigning for a better understanding of this life changing condition.

The emotional, mental and physical side effects of seizures and anti-epileptic medication can be challenging to deal with but with the right support from friends and family and the information provided by Epilepsy Scotland can greatly support those in need during a vulnerable stage in their life.

I am taking part in the 10k event at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival on Saturday 28th May 2022 as part of #TeamEpilepsyScotland! with a goal of raising £200 for a good cause and to challenge myself.

During these difficult times, charities need constant funding to be able to support and fund the services they provide. Any donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
