Story

I'm joining #TeamSIA and taking on the London Marathon 2021! Please sponsor me to support the vital work that SIA do to help everyone affected by Spinal Cord Injury.

Those of you who know me and my family will know that my father suffered a SCI following a routine hip operation in 2010. Unfortunately, this left him paralysed from the waist-down and wheelchair bound for life. Obviously, this has had a devastating affect on all of the family and learning to adapt to this completely new way of life has been a struggle, not to mention everything else that comes with having a Spinal Cord Injury. My dad was very fit and active his whole life, having ran the London Marathon in the 90’s and numerous other races.  In 2014 he completed the London Marathon in his wheelchair at the age of 59!

Please, please, please give as little or as much as you can to help support me on my training journey and taking on the LM itself in October. From a non-runner this time last year to training for my first Marathon is a huge challenge but one I am really looking forwards to.

Thank you
