Story

Welcome to the Nottingham Trent takes on the Three Peaks Challenge! These incredible students are taking on the challenge of a lifetime all whilst helping in the fight against meningitis and septicaemia.

I am currently an NTU student, and I am excited about tackling this new adventure by undertaking this challenge to hike Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 36 hours! I have a lot of training to do as I have never been hiking before but the inspiration to support MRF

This charity resonates personally with me having had someone close to me almost die from this disease I wasn't aware of its huge impact on someone's life even after recovery until I had seen it first-hand.  MRF is doing important work to raise awareness and better understand the disease that is life threatening!

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
