Story

*UPDATE- I WILL BE WEARING A ANIMAL ONESIE AS I RUN*

This year has been extremely difficult for alot of people. Most zoos are non profit organisations that rely completely on ticket sales, such as Dudley zoo.

Being a keeper at the zoo I got to see the effect that COVID-19 has had. It hasnt been easy, but it's amazing how all the keepers and workers at the zoo have done everything they can to stay positive and continue to give the animals exceptional level of care.

I wanted to run this half marathon because I couldnt stand by and watch the place I love struggle. I've been working here for a year and a half. I'd had a really bad year but as soon as I started working here that changed. The Zoo is my happy place and the people who work there are more of a family then they are work colleges. So I take seeing the zoo struggle extremely hard.

With my sponsored half marathon I'd love to get as many donations as possible. I've never ran this far, but I wanted to actually do something that would be a challenge and would be worth your donations. I will also be running on site and those who have been on the zoo will know we arent the flattest place so this wont be easy.

Thankyou to everyone that decides to donate. Thankyou to all the keepers and workers at the zoo, my run is for you.
