Story
As many of you may know myself along with other very close family members have been diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease.
PKD is the most common inherited kidney disease affecting over 12 million people worldwide and up to 70,000 in the UK. It causes cysts to develop in your kidneys and sometimes in other organs. This can result in kidney failure, which can be treated with dialysis or a kidney transplant.
To support the millions of people diagnosed with PKD, myself and my family, alongside paying tribute to our late Nana Bet I wanted to take on a challenge and raise money for a great cause. Therefore I will be following in my dads running footsteps and taking on the Great Manchester Half Marathon.
Over the next couple of months I will up my training whilst trying to promote the PKD charity in hope to make the biggest impact possible!
