In February I will volunteer for 3 months on a development programme in rural Tanzania! This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. I'll be working and living alongside volunteers from Tanzania, on a project that focuses on youth entrepreneurship, improving community managed water and sanitation systems, and building community resilience. ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development.

I need to raise £800 for Raleigh International, who are one of the respected development charities that deliver ICS. This will allow them to continue to bring about positive change in the developing communities where they work. You can check out their amazing work here: https://raleighinternational.org

Fundraising

All money raised will go directly to the charity and help the aims of the charity (such as water sanitation and health projects) come to life. None of the money goes towards flights, travel, visas etc as these are all government funded, and our accommodation comes in the form of living in with the families of the communities in which we are volunteering. So fret not, you are not funding a holiday for me!

• Presentations - I am going to be giving a presentation to the Burnham Lions Club on the 10th December.
• Quiz Night - On Saturday 5th December I am hosting a charity quiz night at Farnham Common Village Hall. Please come along and please spread the word!
• Any other ideas? - If anyone has any suggestions, do let me know!
