Story
As many of you know we lost our amazing Dad and Carole her soulmate late last year without warning to a sudden heart attack. To say that this left our family devastated is an understatement.
As a family we want to ensure that others can avoid such heartache in any way we can, which is why we have decided to raise money for The British Heart Foundation by tackling the West Highland Way.
Dad was born and raised in Glasgow, therefore as this Trek starts in Glasgow and finishes in Fort William it seemed the perfect way to honour his memory. This trek can be completed in up to 9 days, however, my brother Benjamin and I are challenging ourselves to complete this in 6 days. We will be joined by our brother Cameron and sister Kendal to support us along the way as well as Carole who will be equipped with plasters and treats!
We will be finishing on Dads birthday weekend so this will not only be physically challenging but especially emotional too.
The West Highland Way is Scotland's longest trail, a 155km (96 mile) long route, running from Milngavie, north of Glasgow, to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands.
Please help us raise as much money as we can for the British Heart Foundation in honour of our wonderful dad, Alan, a husband and soul mate, a dad to four, and a papa bear to six - no donation is too small and all is gratefully received.
This one’s for you Dad, love you millions x
