On November 5, 2015, I'll head to India to embark on a five-day trek through the foothills of the Himalayas, passing through forests, Hindu settlements and Buddhist Monasteries. It's going to be a tough trek (and, having trekked the Sahara desert last year, I'm under no illusions that it will be easy!).

But as the editor of Your Cat magazine, I get to see the incredible work charities like Nowzad Dogs do for animals in need — including cats, dogs, horses and donkeys. Providing much-needed veterinary treatment, neutering programmes, and rescuing and rehoming these animals amid conflict in Kabul, Afghanistan, can't be an easy job, and it's so important that we show our support here in the UK.

So please, dig deep and support my trek for Nozwad Dogs. I'm paying for the challenge myself so ALL money raised will go to this amazing charity. Don't let these animals be forgotten.
