Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am fundraising for Keech because they were..well, bloody fantastic when my grandad spent his last days there in February 2011. The staff were all friendly and helpful, no matter the hour of the day. In fact, they could not have done any more for my grandad or us, his family. I can not thank them enough but hope to raise at least some funds to help them continue to be so great. I hope you will all continue reading as it clarifies why it is so important to give money to these fantasic hospices..
"Hospices are the largest fundraising cause in the UK. Between them they need to raise over £400 million every year to keep going.
A quarter of a million terminally ill adults and children rely on this money being raised each year. Each of these patients will be a mother or father, brother or sister, friend or colleague. Whether they are at home, in day care or in a hospice, the care they receive is tailored to their own individual needs and is given free of charge.
The generosity of our supporters allows Help the Hospices, as the national charity for the hospice movement, to help local hospices give outstanding care and support to their patients, together with their friends and families."
