Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page!

As you will know, signing up for a half marathon is pushing me way outside of my comfort zone having previously not run further than a 10k. But it's in a very good cause (and not just my waistline!).

Rise is a charity that means a lot to me. 1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse during their lifetime. Unfortunately I already know a number of women that have been caught in abusive relationships, all of whom have had their own, their children's and their families' lives affected in a number of different ways.

Domestic abuse charities are copping with severe cuts in the current economic climate. Therefore it's more important than ever that they receive funding through charitable donations to be able to continue helping victims of domestic abuse and ensure they can get the support they need to escape and rebuild their own life again.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now to help spur me on and help Rise continue their valuable work.
