Story
In 2017 I decided that after years of running I would do something I never thought I could do.... run a marathon!
It started the most incredible journey for me. The highs and lows of marathon training, numerous injuries, seeing the physio and Chiropractor. Having a (wrong) gait analysis, numerous pairs of trainers. Motivating myself for those cold dark winter runs and the rediculous hot and sweaty runs in Florida. The satisfaction of completing a 10 mile run, a 14 mile and an 18 mile run, all on my own.
Completing the Marathon was the most awesome and satisfying experience ever and I learned an awful lot about myself. The biggest life changing experience happened to me that day, I fell in love with running.
I feel truely honoured to be running for Phab again in 2019. An amazing charity, run by truely amazingly passionate people who brighten up and enrich the lives of others every single day.
Phab promotes the coming together on equal terms of disabled and non-disabled people to make more of life together - through our exciting and challenging holiday projects for disabled and disadvantaged children and young people and 170 local Phab Clubs across England and Wales with 8,000 members.Thank you for supporting Phab and Phabkids - it makes such a difference
